Objective
 
I would like to gain more experience working as a deckhand working towards my next certifications, one day being 1st mate or captain of a vessel and also gain more knowledge and experience through visiting different countries and meeting different people.

I am STCW 95 certified and I have

2008: M/Y Stampede 116’ Delta 1990
 
I worked as a Deckhand aboard M/Y stampede.
 
2008: Blue Water Deliveries.
Cape Town to Port Everglades. (52 days)
 
I was part of a 4 man crew delivering a 40ft admiral catamaran. We Sailed from Cape Town to St Helena, St Helena to Fortaleza Brazil, Fortaleza to Trinidad, Trinidad to Fort Everglades Florida. My duties included standing watch, cooking meals, catching fish, washing the yacht, polishing stainless steel, keeping the yacht clean, and manning the mooring and sail lines.

2006 –2008: Sunrise Diving
(Phuket,Thailand).
 
I worked as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructing PADI courses from entry level to Divemaster level on day boats and on liveaboards. I also worked in the Dive shop, booking dive day trips, liveaboards, dive courses, and selling dive gear.
 
2005 –2006: Scubaversity

I worked as a PADI Divemaster and Scuba diving Instructor leading underwater tours and Instructing PADI courses from entry level to Divemaster level as well as working as part of a team organising dive trips to various dive locations around South Africa and Mozambique.
